For friends who got the report writing homework from our Stride Ahead workbook page 217, this is the sample report that the lecturer asked to copy. Feel free to share.
The report is on the failure rate of students in Veyabi University. The pie chart shows the factors contributing to the failure rate among Veyabi University students while the line graph shows the failure rate of students between 2005 to 2008. From the pie chart we can see that the teaching of Maths and Science courses in English is the main factor contributing to failure rate at 38%, while 10% of failures were unable to understand the instructor’s expectations. 2005 recorded the highest percentage of failure rate at 25.3%. There is a sharp fall of over 5% from 2005 to 2006, followed by a steady decline of around 2% yearly from 2006 to 2008. The lowest failure rate is recorded in 2008 at 16.4%. It is seen that students who have studied Maths and Science subjects in English during Form Six since 2003 are scoring better grades at university level nationwide, and this is proved by the decline of failure rate at Veyabi University since 2005 to 2008.
